Celia WeinstienReiki/ReflexologyCelia has spent the last 15 years perfecting her practice as a massage and reiki therapist . Incorporating a variety of modalities including Reiki, reflexology, IET specialized cancer modalities and craniosacral therapy. She brings tremendous skill to each of her clients. However far beyond her experience is her healing energy and ability to truly connect and therefore effect each of her clients, by making it a priority to personalize treatments specifically for what each client needs, Celia develops a bond with each person individually . She is grateful to have been given the gift of a powerful and healing energy from god that allows her to make people feel better and ease them of some pain during the hardest time of their lives. She is honored to be working at the Cancer Center and looks forward to continue this journey.

Anita Wong M.S., L.AcAcupuncturistAnita is a third generation practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her grandfather had a practice in Guangzhou, China. He passed down their traditions and his knowledge of our medicine to her mother, who lovingly passed the family legacy to Anita.
Anita loves empowering patients to understand their bodies and discover the gentle and very powerful effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine. As an acupuncturist, she enjoys being able to bridge the gap between eastern and western medicine, while providing a safe and nurturing atmosphere in which to heal. Anita received her Master's degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in New York City. |
Beth WarrenNutritionistNationally recognized registered dietitian-nutritionist Beth Warren, the founder and chief executive officer of Beth Warren Nutrition, LLC, a New York-based private practice, and lead consulting dietitian for the New York Cancer Center. She is the author of SECRETS OF A HEALTHY GIRL and LIVING A REAL LIFE WITH REAL FOOD. Beth has been sharing her healthy eating expertise and practical approach to healthy living for years. She has been featured on national and local television and radio programs, including Fox5, NBC’s Daytime, and Sirius/XM Doctor’s radio station, along with print and online publications, including The NY Post, Women’s Health, Glamour, Shape, Prevention, Men’s Fitness, and WebMD. She created a YouTube channel, Beth Warren Nutrition, and currently writes a blog featuring healthy recipes, food photos, commentary on nutrition topics in the news, and other wellness topics.

Joelle CohenMusic TherapistJoelle is a board-certified music therapist. Joelle graduated Summa Cum Laude from SUNY Purchase College, Conservatory of Music, where she majored in Opera Performance. While performing, teaching, and directing children theater productions, she received a Masters in Music Therapy, where she studied the power of music and how it relates to healthcare. Joelle worked with an array of populations (children and adults with developmental disabilities, substance abuse, mental illness, hospice, patients with Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's dementia, etc). She worked for Metropolitan Jewish Health System Hospice and Palliative Care, Visiting Nurse Association Hospice, Sephardic Bikur Holim, and New York Cancer Center. Joelle is a dedicated professional who combines her passion for music with patients' health and quality of life.

Jackie CruzChildren's Art TherapistJackie Cruz is a retired NYC Dept. Of Education art teacher. She works with elementary-aged children to help them express themselves creatively. Students are encouraged to try a variety of materials and to explore different types of mixed media. Drawing, painting, collage, and more are some of the fun activities that the children explore.

Atara SchwekyYoga TherapistAtara Schweky has been certified and trained in over 1000+ hours of yoga and meditation with teachers from all over the world. Additionally, Atara is a certified Life and Health coach from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where she studied learning about the holistic approach to healing the body from the inside out. Atara uses this belief in her approach to teaching yoga and meditation. Atara incorporates breathing techniques into every class and weaves together all of the different modalities of healing together so that each client can have their own unique experience in what works best for their needs. The connection of mind, body, and breath is the ultimate power of healing. A holistic yoga experience means looking at the WHOLE body and the needs of it so it can be healed based on its specific needs. Atara has been teaching and studying yoga since 2003 and her own firsthand experience with cancer and the healing journey has given her the knowledge and experience to be there in a unique way for others at the Cancer Center. Atara feels an immense gratitude for having the privilege to teach at the Cancer Center and is looking forward to continuing on this journey.
